auxillary trunk plastic fuel tanks, 18 gallon and 12 gallon

so, Im sitting on a bunch of plastic tanks I was (and am) storing for a alt fuel company. Im clearing space to build a mezzanine, and ive got permission to sell them off as they stand, without all the extra bits from the manufacturer.

This is an opportunity to take advantage of some really decent VO products for other purposes, or do VO if thats your thing. Ive installed one in my car as a general 18 gallon aux diesel tank.

They require work and parts to assemble a complete mounting system, but nothing unusual, and its a fun project.

Here is a thread on installing an 18 gallon plastic tank as an aux diesel fuel tank for an additional 450-500 miles of range.

There are two types, an 18 gallon tank designed to fit over the spare tire well, and a 12 gallon tank designed to mount anywhere it looks like.

Currently I have about 10-15 of the 18 gallon, and 4-5 of the 12 gallon.

here is what they look like-

this is what the 18 gallon looks like installed in a 123 chassis 240 for extra diesel capacity-

If anyone is interested in one of these aux tanks, the price shipped for a large one is $100 dollars (lower 48 only, PM for other destintations), and $85 dollars shipped for the 12 gallon tanks.

The do not ship with mounting hardware, a tank top, ect. All that stuff must be made by you, but in the above thread, I have detailed instructions on how I did that for my own uses. The only things that come with it are a pair of caps and a roll over vent you will need to install, and a template of the one manufacturer top I have.

Please PM or respond to this thread if you have any questions
