For Sale - 1978 Mercedes 300 CD

Hello, I am selling my 1978 300 CD. It is in beautiful condition and has 111,884 miles on it.

I have had it stored in a heated garage since I bought it a year ago. Now I'm looking to sell it.

I am looking to get $11,800 or best offer for it.

Please email me with any questions, requests for other photos, or any reasonable offer. I'm looking to move it quickly to put the money into other projects, so any reasonable offer will be considered.

Just a comment regarding your price...

If you have frequented this forum and followed sales on places like CraigsList you'll understand that the market value for the early 123s, especially coupes, is very soft.

Diesels are more desirable in the coupe, but even with that being considered I would say your car would sell in the sub $5000 range. The fact that it's a non-turbo and also has the dreaded Type II ACC system with the servo are the two biggest strikes against the value.

There is one of these in my immediate area that has lower mileage and is a Florida car, and it's been sitting unsold for some time at around $8,000 to give you a point of reference.

Good luck with the sale.

Agreed! This one is very nice and I would love to own it, I love the burial wood! But I think for a non turbo with the acc.....its asking way to much.....
