Post WTB 1990 300TE engine

Hi everyone
I just found a 1990 300TE in my area that had practically no damage to the interior and a pretty decent exterior for its age. So i bought it knowing full well that it needs an engine.
The oil pump malfunctioned and the previous owner wasn't paying attention to the oil pressure so it seized up.
If anyone has or can tell me where i can find a good used engine for cheap that would be great!
I will try to post some pictures of it soon

That would probably be an M103 (check it is not a 300TE-24) and unless I am mistaken the same for all W124 and W126 vehicles of the era. 1988-91. So, you might want to rephrase your subject line and also post on the W124 and W126 forums where there are also some M103 enthusiasts.

The M103 has a single black valve cover. The M104 has an aluminum colored shroud over the twin cams.

Well, that's an M103, but it will take someone above my pay grade to say if an M104 is a bolt in swap.

For my part, I love the M103. My 300SEL is quiet as a Swiss watch, dependable as a diesel and gets 18 mpg in the big body. Of course, the M104 in the wife's E320 Cab gets about 25 mpg and is more powerful.

I'd love to so a swap but i also don't want to spend 8 hours a day for a couple weeks trying to make it happen! Haha
I'm just trying to get her back on the road so we can get some paint work done
