Interesting response to Nobby - again.
I collect wheels for my 560SL, and I have a fairly good size collection going. I'm always interested in period correct unique wheels, and have even been open minded about paying a premium for uniqueness and quality - as I'm sure a few members on here will attest.
29 year old wheels can appear ok to the eye, but once the refurbishing process starts many problems can surface and it's not unusual that one or more in the set is unsafe or unrepairable. If you have not had your wheels inspected by an expert (which it doesn't sound like you have), then it's important to have an open dialog and be prepared to offer up as much information as you can about what you're selling.
I don't care as much about the $900 being "a bargain" as I do about not throwing it away. Obviously I would want to insure they will fit my car and are in good condition. Really its that hard to post a picture of a straight edge and a ruler, and find a way to confirm the PCD being 5x112 and not 5x114 (the brother thing makes me nervous) and provide a center bore spec? I agree with Fonzi - too many questions and too few facts.
As a potential buyer, I find your wheels interesting - but as a seller, I find you the exact opposite and a poster boy for the proverbial red flag.
While it may feel good for you to resort to childish 8th grade gym bullying tactics with your responses to well respected members on this board, you should realize that in the process you just alienated an interested buyer. Not sure how far you've gotten in life with this level of maturity when conducting business, bust most of us learn these basics upon entering adulthood.
I've purchased quite a few sets of wheels from BW members and have only had one bad experience to date. I'm going to save myself from a second by taking a pass on your "Rare Epsilon Southern Ways 3pc Mesh with polished step lips".
I'd say good luck but at this point I'm thinking its going to take more than that.
