This is a set of bumpers removed from a European-spec 1985 Mercedes-Benz W123 280E. This is the small version bumpers that fit snugly up against the body, unlike the ones that the USA-market cars got. The car spent most of its life in the Arizona desert, so there is almost no rust on these. Most of these bumpers have been exposed to salted European roads and it's very hard to find ones that aren't rusted. They aren't as sturdy as the USA-market ones, so they tend to be bent and dented, as well. These bumpers will fit your USA-spec W123 sedan with no modifications. Simply unbolt your old bumpers, and install these ones. Only one of the three mounting studs on each side of the body are used--SO much easier than installing Euro bumpers on a W116.
The chrome finish is very presentable. It has quite a few fine scratches, but they aren't noticeable unless you are looking at the bumpers up close. There is almost no rust. The only rust that existed was neutralized with Rust Doctor, which converted it into magnetite, a sandable black primer. The metal mounting brackets had a light coat of rust, which is now neutralized. I did the same on the seam under the rubber trim, which is the most prone area to rusting. The bumpers are clean, shiny, and ready to install without needing any extra detail work. There is a ding or two in the chrome, but it seems to be limited to the bottom end. No large dents are visible. Someone put two holes in the front bumper for attaching a license plate. The rubber moldings are in excellent condition, with the exception of some scuffing at the center of the rear bumper molding from repeated hitching and unhitching of a trailer. The rubber side pieces are included as well, along with the mounting nuts, washers, and clips.
