For sale or Trade Immaculate 40 Th. Anniversary Roadster

This is an Outstanding low mileage(38k) totally original example.

I Purchased this 40 Th. Anniversary Roadster from the original owner 2 years ago.

I do have the original owners collection of service records.

I am interested in Trading or Selling, an opportunity to acquire one in this condition does not come often.

Link below to my Photobucket Slide Show,

http://s1263.photobucket.com/user/le...0SL%20Roadster

The Roadster looks (and drives) near new and is at least as good in person as in the pictures!

Check it out and get back with me@ 985-290-8122 or PM me if you have interest.

I do not need help selling this Mercedes, I do know what is suppose to be worth.

I will not post an asking price and expect any interested party to do their own research as to value only a fool to depend on a sellers research as to the price. I will not respond to any offer posted on this thread If you are serious call or PM me.

I realize this is unacceptable to some potential buyers but that is the only way I am comfortable selling.

I can be as reasonable and polite as anyone else as long I am treated likewise. This 40Th. Anniversary Roadster is for sale ant this is not an auction.

If you look at the pictures and would like to own this car I AM INTERESTED is hearing from you.

If any of you are wondering who is this nut! just look back an my for sale post from last week and draw whatever conclusion you like.

with all due respect....

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
With all due respect this is a website of Mercedes enthusiasts not a bunch of yolkels.
I understand you want to get as much money for you car as possible, might I suggest E Bay as a better venue for you to "fish" for a high dollar offer.
The people here might seem a little strong at times but this is a Mercedes Enthusiast website and these folks are deep down good folk. (as example) I remember one clown trying to sell a low mileage 124 500 E as a car owned by a rock star so it was a given it was properly maintained and maintenance records were not need to validate the cars history. (just giving you an example of an absurd posting, by the way everyone un loaded on that clown until he sulked off the website not to return) Some people see the word Mercedes and think everyone has unlimited money and no brains, not the case for this website)
Regardless of your last encounter, Rowdie is a good guy and has been helpful to many on this website including myself. (Not trying to justify rowdie just stating a fact)
Might I suggest the following;

1. You want to "fish" sell try E Bay. You will have far less heartburn.
2. If you post here at least lookup and list it as a basis for your pricing, that alone will earn you a little street cred.

Good luck with your sale regardless of your choice of action.

I understand you point fully and am quite sure you and all the forum watchdogs serve an important function. I is a pity though you cannot be a little less "Pit Bull" and a little more "German Shepard" in deciding where to focus your efforts.

No wolf in sheep's clothing here just a 2 year member in good standing using the for sale privilege for the first and only time to advertise the car linked to the owner for the full term as a member. That information is just to the left of the ad copy.

I think your efforts regarding posting of an asking price would best used in getting the rules changed rather than your current tactics.

I have offered up the car again , along with my head, because I firmly believe it belongs in the hands of another Mercedes enthusiasts.

I have been pretty up front as to my motives regarding posting a price.

Mr. Hegle has a nice R129 for sale. Let the other matters die and concentrate on the fine car he has for sale.

Lightbulb My prefrence in a Trade.

Although I would give due consideration to any nice Vehicle in trade what I am most interested in is:

1. Mercedes Station Wagon.

2. Mercedes M Class SUV.

3. A Garage size Pickup Truck that has not been in commercial use.

Again if you post an offer in this thread instead in a PM I will have to ignore it.

Thanks for your understanding.

I like the way you stand for whatever you stand for Larry. I don't care if you sell your car either, and these are the most entertaining FS threads.

The car sure does look nice. You should drive the pants off that thing and post up so go-pro camera videos of you squealing the tires in that baby.

I like the wood wheel, color combo, and the evo2 wheels.

38k miles is nice too.

Kind of sounds like fishing to me too. If you want to see what people will pay, throw it on ebay. Looks like a nice low-mileage car.

Yes very fine example of a well cared for R129.

But from my experience of owning at least 30 vehicles (all used purchased from private parties) I won't even consider wasting my time contacting the buyer unless they have an asking price posted.

I like simple listings that furnish information that would be important
to the buyer with plenty of photos.

It's funny reading some that go into details about "no shows", "flakes", "my grandma loved the car", etc...

All I want to see is asking price, maintenance details, mileage, and of course "original owner" is always a plus.

Good luck though, but I'm sure you'll have no problem selling it as long as the price is fair and or negotiable.
But, of course, list the asking price.
