Having recently concluded an extended search for an R129 with a purchase of a 2000 SL500, I can tell you I investigated a half dozen 50th Ann. Edition cars as I truly find them attractive.

It is clear to me that there are very, very few R129's that will bring $20K, much less $30K, and there is no premium for the 50th Ann. Edition.

I agree with Lynns. This car is probably worth no more than $15K. That same $15K will buy fine examples of later model cars with more and better options.

The market is the market. I would think the OP would welcome the education.

As far as Rowdie goes, there is no finer member of these forums.
