When I had my euro taxi, it was in California on a non op....I went to re register it and I got a lot of grief about it not being a us spec car....she finally went into the computer and fiddled around for 45mins and got me the registration....on the title and registration it stated in bold letters non USA car...my car wasn't federalized and was a diesel....she told me at the time it would need a smog....but I never got anything in the mail staring that.....there was also a euro gas wagon at a repair shop.....he could not legally sell it to me or anyone else in California because it couldn't be smogged and was not federalized......
