I hate to have to do this. My silver/grey leather 380 SEL met an untimely end when the left-front was struck at 50mph by a new Silverado PU. Alas, I have to part out my old friend
. Luckily, my W126's final act was to keep my 16 year old son SAFE and un-harmed.
The good: engine (needs valve seals but runs well), tranny and all drive-line is great, both rear-doors are great inside and out, passenger front interior door panel, rear seat is repaired (canvas behind leather and re-paddded). Switchgear is all good. Door pulls all good. Trunk lid, tail-lights, rear bumper all good. 3 good later 80's 15" W126 wheels. Original 14" spare. Original first-aid kit with original stuff in it (curio value?)
The bad: dash pad cracked, odometer (although dash cluster works fine), dash wood trim (serviceable, not minty), driver's door interior panel. Original power front seats, but drive cables need re-staking and total re-upholstery. Horsehair pads wasted, all springs good.
The ugly: due to the impact, all of the left-front is unusable, as well as hood and driver's door.
The absurd: the car has a good pair of Nissan Altima manual gray velour front-bucket seats that I custom welded up a set of mounts for.
