Red face FOR SALE: 1985 Mercedes 380se W126 62k original miles

Selling my 1985 Mercedes 380se!
$4900
Clean title in my name just passed California emissions test. I believe I'm the 3 rd owner of this car. It's been in southern CA its entire life.

62,356 miles. I have loads of documentation on this car. The interior is almost perfect and the only flaw is the center console wood trim is starting to photodegrade. Absolutely everything works on this car. Cold AC, becker soundsystem, power seats, everything works great. Exterior is very nice with no large dents. Also, this car has the dual timing chain--I took a photo to prove it!

Mechanically, I've put on a new Idle Air control Computer, had the AC charged up with R12, changed the valve cover gaskets, and put on brake pads.

There are a few door dings however and the paint on the R upper quarter panel looks to have been redone some time ago, and there is a scratch on the rear deck lid.. I have the original window sticker, all 3 keys, etc. This is a great car and very beautiful. I'm only selling this to pay for grad school. I may consider a partial trade for an older diesel, or some old/silver/gold coins--I'm an avid collector. The car is located in North San Diego.
This is a very nice car (not perfect) but really nice!

PRICE IS $4900
Please call me at 619-808-9179--Dennis
I have lots of photos of the car. Let me know if you'd like anymore!

Nice looking car with low miles but my guess is the price and the fact it is a 380. Probably not an ideal color combo, either.

An old MB is not a fast sell, so hang in there. Time will sell it.

I beg to differ, it's a beautiful color combination but I do agree that $7k is a bit steep.

Price is high.....smog will eventually become an issue in Cali...and its not a diesel.....nice color combo in my eye....gotta to remember....these are not let vintage....they are old outdated cars in many peoples eyes.....these are considered beaters in many Californians eyes aka what your teen buys on his McDonald's paycheck....good luck though!

Also, can anyone tell me if the double timing chain was an upgrade or a factory deal. The car was built in March of 1985.

OK. I can't figure out why no one seems interested in this car. Can I get a few more tips? It runs great, looks pretty damn good, I just paid to have the car color sanded and polished--nice and shiney! I don't want to part this car out, but I really need to sell for school.
