1989 Mercedes 560SEC Convertible Unbelievable

~* 1989 Mercedes 560SEC Convertible Unbelievable *~
I'm selling my 1989 Mercedes 560SEC Convertible. Amazing car as they never built this model.
Celebrity history, Wilt Chamberlain bought her new for $83k, drives it a year, is tired of banging his head, so he pays Beverly Hills Coachcraft (the best!) another $31k to convert it professionally to a convertible!
5.6L V8 with overdrive automatic.
Very nice Navy Blue w Grey leather interior.
Only 112k miles (these go ½ million miles with only reasonable care and this one has always been well maintained.
Garage queen (even underground parking at work).
Great wheels, great tires.
Absolutely awesome car! A real stunner! Hate to do it, but my loss can be your gain.
Has only ever had Mobil-1 full synthetic oil and Chevron gas.
NO leaks!
Brand new shocks all four corners.
Great ABS brakes with disk brakes all around.
I looked for quite some time to find this really nice garage queen.
All 100% stock and not monkeyed with like so many…
Clean title (no salvage or anything like that).
Just smogged and registered (won’t need to be smogged again for 2 years).
I need a truck these days for work or I wouldn’t be selling.
Unique opportunity to buy an absolute unique cream puff!
No hurry to sell. Cash only, no trades.
I won’t even look at an E-mail (too much hacking SPAM).
Priced to sell to the right person @ $8,350.
760-seven one five-55nine9.
Thanks!

Post An East Coast SEC Convertible, Too!

I saw this on Craigslist in NJ for those on the East Coast:

Classic Mercedes

1982 380 SEC.

Both are unique cars.

Well he was originally wanting $8350 bitcoins or monopoly money.

But you have cash? Oh my! CASH! Who would have thought he wanted cash? Do you do the same with other folks, such as craigslist ads, sending emails or texts for well under their asking price on the very remote chance they won't get pissed off and actually agree even though you've put forth no effort to inquire about pertinent details or inspect the car in person?

Wait, his craigslist ad says cash only.

Must have touched a nerve.

Wow. Take a chill pill

Yes I do routinely ask people if they'll take an amount im willing to pay , even if its less than their asking price . Because if they are firm in the price , I'm not going to waste their time or my time flying to see it in person.

But if they are willing to come down to my price , which is the same price as the east coast car pictured , that's when I'll spend hundreds to fly out (or just send a transporter and buy it sight unseen ).

Hopefully that satisfied your need for me to explain my offer

And it ain't no New Jersey car.....
She is an absolute knock-out!

I can understand advertising the asking price on the sellers side, but what savvy buyer negotiates for a lower price in a public forum?

That's what PM's, emails and phones are for. Not a criticism of the offer, just how you go about doing it. Hey, if you can buy anything cheaper it's worth the try, but why do it publicly?

This is really a beautiful car, that east coast car doesn't compare. The lines of the Top when put up, look to be something that came from MB design, very well proportioned. That east coast car looks chunky with it's top up.

The only criticism of this car I have (minor) is the wheels, but then again if you ask ten people about wheels, you'll get 10 different opinions... wheels are easy to change...

Hope this SEC goes to a good home, GLWS
