I am selling an air compressor off of a military class 1969 Mercedes Unimog model TLF-8. I removed the air compressor from my truck when I did an engine swap replacing the stock engine with a Ford straight six 300ci. It has been in storage for 13 years and was lightly used as this truck was not a daily driver.
The new engine's space requirements did not allow me to keep the stock air compressor and I installed a York compressor to my truck. The one I'm selling was common on certain models of the 404.1 and 404s Unimog which had air assisted brakes. It could be adapted to practically any vehicle to provide on board air. This is a military grade, full time on demand air compressor.
Use it to power your air tools, air up tires, fill balloons, etc. (with an air tank installed of course!)
It is in good condition and worked great up until I did the swap. It is going for $375. If interested email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
. It weighs in at 22lbs and measures 13" x 10" x 9". This is without the mounting base installed to minimize the shipping size (which I'm including). I put it into a box that measures 17 1/2" long X 11" wide x 10" high. Figure about 2lbs of box weight, packing, foam, etc. so its going to weigh just shy of 25lbs. It is located in zip code 85014 (Phoenix, AZ).
