This is a nice car. Car is beige with red interior. 150,000 miles. Car runs strong, will cruise all day at 75, getting 27 MPG. No rust, solid paint, cruise, windows, sunroof, vacuum system locks, AC, antenna, etc are all operational. All of the original equipment is fully operational. Car has Michelin hydro edge tires with 10000 miles remaining. Motor runs strong but burns 1 quart every 2500 miles.

Interior is good, seats are perfect, door panels, carpets are all good. Dash is not cracked, windshield replaced due to pitting. Headliner sags a little and I will have it replaced for the right buyer. Woodwork around the shifter is flaking, I will have it restored for the right buyer.

The engine and tranny have no leaks. Below are the items I've replaced or repaired over the last 4 years:

Front end rebuilt this year at local MB dealer
Timing chain
Brake booster
Brake pads
All four rotors
Heater mono valve
Water pump
Vacuum pump rebuilt
All vacuum mechanisms in doors replaced
Front and rear Windshield gaskets
Rubber door gaskets on All four doors
New injectors
AC converted and charged summer '12
Sagging seat map pockets repaired
Heater blower disassembled, cleaned and repaired.
New MB battery
All nine engine compartment coolant hoses replaced
Turbo disassembled, cleaned and rebuilt
K&N air filter
Brake fluid changed annually
Replaced all four shocks (Bilstein)
Original radio plus upgraded CD and Sirius stereo and speakers.
Replaced transmission 10000 miles ago with rebuilt unit plus torque converter
Transmission tuned at local MB dealer, up shift and downshift is great
Fuel hand primer pump
Voltage regulator
Complete exhaust system
Left rear window regulator
Front hood insulation blanket
Rear trunk rubber seal
Nissens radiator
Fan clutch
Cruise amplifier rebuilt
Thermostat
Glow plugs
All engine and tranny mounts
Driveshaft flex couplings
Too many other miscellaneous items to list here. Write me with specific questions and I will answer.

Asking 15000 OBO. Pictures will be posted in a follow up reply to this message.

Very nice car, love that interior color too! Flesh colored paint no so much....one thing people need to learn, even though you put 20k into the repair of a car doesn't make it a 20k car....

This is a growing trend on many diesel W123's that I've noticed and can't quite comprehend why? Many diesels with 150k+ miles with asking prices of $10-15k? Yes, they have a name and image of being reliable.. but c'mon! A $10-12+k premium over a gas version? I can redo the suspension, rebuild the motor/transmission and still be ahead at that price.

OBO guys, OBO.

As stated, this car is actually in VERY good condition. I can buy one of the other cars on this forum just like you can, for 3500 too. But you know as well as I do that I'm going to spend a WHOLE LOT of money to make it look and run like this one. Thanks for looking! ALways appreciate the feedback.

And I'm located in Huntsville AL. PM or call if you have any specific questions. 256-425-6036

Yeah, you did say OBO. However, I'm sure the pretty high asking price will deter people from making an offer because they would probably be 40-50% below what you are asking.

At least when I am shopping for a car, I usually pass up on the ones with high asking prices with OBO.

Put it on eBay with plenty of quality photos and you'll get somewhere close to your price. Benzworld isn't the place to sell a car in near perfect condition for a big price, members here don't want to spend that kind of money.

Mike

Thanks for the advice. BTW, what is a fair price for the car regarding someone on this forum as a buyer?
