There were two doglegs, both made by Getrag for MB in the 201/124/129 range. Early one, short input shaft for the single mass flywheel and later one long input shaft for the dual mass flywheel.
The later one was used on the M104 cars in both 3.0 and 3.2 forms so it was available in the 300SL 90-whenever and in europe on all the W124 models. Early one on the 16V. Not sure what the 2.5-16V came with in europe, probably the dual mass.
I know there are some mad Finns that run getrags behind the 603 turbo lumps making like 500ft/lbs so they are pretty strong.
