1978 Mercedes-Benz 280SLC -SOLD

1978 Mercedes-Benz 280SLC European grey market coupe.

-151,XXX miles.

-European Dual Overhead Cam straight six cylinder gasoline engine

-Automatic transmission.

-Newer brakes

-New tie rods and center link shock.

-The interior is pretty sweet and appears to have been completely redone a few years back but has a few hairline fractures on dash.

-Bundts have been restored, near new tires.

-Euro bumpers

-Trunk Spoiler

-Burl Wood Trim

Clean California title, registration is current and recently passed smog. I've been using it as a run about and runs well.

Body overall is straight but unfortunately showing common signs of rusting.

Let me know if you would like more info or picts. Car is located in Los Angeles. Willing to assist with shipping if required.

SOLD

Thanks,

If you end up parting it, I might be interested in a LOT of the parts.

Grab the whole sch-bang and you can have ALL of the parts.

I'll pick up your plane ticket west and so you can drive her home.

Well, hopefully I won't need any of the stuff, but that interior is very cool.

What I can't afford is the 3+ day drive back east.

I am hoping for big cash-money for those bbs rs. The reason for selling is only to get car-slush-funds. Too bad the guy I am buying the the SLC from wouldn't take these wheels.

There has to be someone that would love to have that car. It really looks like it would be a great driver.

That is the radio that was apparently stock with my 78 SLC. Does it suck? I think I want one.

48hp, I LOVE this car! It reminds me of my first Mercedes, a 1980 280 SE W116 with green tartan plaid interior.

Just how bad is the rust? Is it mostly superficial or has it gotten to the structure points?

Is that interior original? The stitching looks great as opposed to the piping and is that leather or vinyl?

Anyway, mostly just curious.
