So here is a link to my CL ad:
The ad is really geared more toward the CL typical buyer and not the MB or more specifically the W126 enthusiast. I had to throw it up quickly as I promised my mechanic that I would do it the first of the year and get it gone (as it sits on his lot currently).
I am very happy to gather more and better pictures, provide much more detail and negotiate the price.
A little back story, I bought the car from a guy in Richmond, VA at the peak of my hobby. I say peak because this was the last purchase I made before 'quitting' to spend more time and money on my wife and kids (I was getting a little carried away). My intention was to fix it and drive it or part it based on the condition upon arrival. Neither of those can happen now, although I think it may be a good project candidate.
I paid $930 for the car, $600 to ship it to NY, and put in a $300-500 8-pin Euro 500 specific EZL. I owe my mechanic a few bucks for his time and storage so that is where I came up with the pricing.
He put in the replacement EZL and coil and got it to run, where the PO could not in 5 years. Mechanic states it sounds good, quiet and strong. It drove in and out of the shop and the suspension pumps up although some or all of the accumulators will need to be replaced.
I have a correct tow hook cover and a set of Euro lights to sweeten the deal plus a lot of the required maintenace items ie, MB coolant, oil filters, trans filter and pan gasket, extra parts, ect.
Title is clear with bill of sale from PO but NOT IN MY NAME.
PM me or reply with interest or questions. I know its a high asking price but negotiable. Its an interesting car
