I have an almost all original 1978 Mercedes 450 SLC. This is a 2 door coupe with a 4.5l V8 engine. My uncle's father died and he gave me this car. This car was stored up in Michigan for most of it's life as the "Summer house" car which is why the there is almost not rot under the car. I have taken pics of the rust spots I know of. I have replaced the turn signal switch with a new one, did a small tune up (plugs, wires, air filter, oil, oil filter, coolant) and the car runs beautifully. Options are listed below. I'm not 100% sure on this as I'm not a Mercedes car person but I was told that the interior was redone at one time. The interior looks ridiculously good to me. Most of the original paper work comes with along with a documentation of the oil changes. I do not need this car as I am a VW guy and already have enough cars/projects.
For serious buyers I have video of the car doing a Cold start, hot start, shifting/driving, and function of all the things in the car.
Not really sure how to price this car with it's mileage so I'm going to start asking price $12,000 OBO
The car is currently located in Melbourne, Florida.
AM/FM Cassette Radio
Almost mint interior
Matching Floor Mats
Original first air kit included
Climatronic semi works, mostly doesn't - This is a common problem on these. Apparently there is an aftermarket unit that can be purchased to repair this for good
One Power window works intermittently. I'm not sure if it's the contact switch or the motor itself
Retractable Antenna struggles to work and I think the motor is at the end of it's life time
Small rust spots on the bottom portions of the car but not many
Sun roof doesn't open
