I finally registered with this Board but have been enjoying it as a guest for quite some time. I registered today because I have a 1986 300E for sale.
I bought this car early summer for my son who is about to get his license. Turns out a good freind sold me her 86 560SL this week which I will be giving to my wife. Hope she likes classic MBs.
So we have an extra car.
The 300E is very clean, original paint as far as I can tell, NO RUST!!. It was owned by a local older lady. I have tons of documentation on the car. It was garage kept until about 9-11 months ago when she bought a new M class and moved the 300E out.
The rear seats and carpet look barely used. The car is light green metallic with a tan interior (MB-tex). Dashboard has no cracks, wood is in nice shape. One small ding below rear R light and bumper cover is cracked. Not offensive by any means.
All electrics work, a/c was ok-ish after I filled it up with gas this summer. We have not driven it much at all as he just has a permit.
I would like the car to go to someone who likes these cars and knows how to maintain them. I have a new valve cover seal and antenna grommet that still needs to go on the car.
Mail me at email@example.com
and I will send you some pictures.
$2,150.00 is my asking price. This is what my son has into the car. Car is located in CT. Registered and insured. Priced to move quick as I have too many cars in my driveway.
Odometer show 161K miles but it stopped working a while back. My guess is that the car has about 175K miles max as I extrpolated from the previous owners service bills how much she drove yearly.
Again, this car was intended for my son as I was looking for a solid and safe 1st car.
