1990 560 SEL value

Hey all I lost revers in my 1990 560 SEL and all the bids I got are much more than I can spend these days. I was looking to sell it but have no idea the value of my baby with the transmission needing replaced or rebuilt. The exterior is in mint condition and just got new brakes and tires before the transmission failed. Ran great but needs a new battery now as well. Interior is in good condition other than the leather needs to be reafixed around the driverside seatbelt on the center post. Diamond blue exterior and blue interior. I will get som epictures if any one is interested here. 250k miles I think now I need to double check. I can't find any sites that can give me a real value on anything older than 1992. I even have sheep skin seat covers in blue if someone wants those two, I thought they where a good idea when I got them but felt to much like a pimp rolling down the road when I put them on. In dash radio was replaced with Pioneer CD player but kept the Bose speakers for obviuse reasons.

Had a scrapper offer me $300 for it and wanted to punch him out for the offer but maybe I am wrong.

Scrapper will get $375 for the car at the junk yard. You basically have what's called a $500 dollar car. To some people it maybe worth more. For example, I paid slightly over $2K for a 91 560SEL with low miles, white color and no reverse since I was looking for a replacement for my rear ended one. Sentimental values can move a buyer to pay more but would not allow a seller to get more. If you post an ad on CL you might be able to sell for a bit more.

Now looking for sewing lessons
1982 W123 240D "Turtle"
1995 W124 E320 "Rogue", 1991 W126 560SEL "Pegasus", 1992 W140 300SD, 1990 W201 190E 2.6, 1978 C107 450SLC, 1973 R107 450SL, 1999 W140 S500.
Gone but not forgotten:
1988 W126 560SEL - got rear ended, 1993 W124 500E - parted.

Thanks for the reply, I am in Beaverdam VA which is about 35 minutes north of Richmond. The $3500 is right on the money for what three different MB and non MB shops gave me for a quote, that must be a magic number. Really if I was still making what I did before 2009 I would do it, i have always love this girl, (named her Sarah) but I have an 1997 E420 now so hadn't been driving the 560 much and I am a 1 MB family now. ^_^
