For sale: 1981 Mercedes Benz 300SD

Hi guys,

I have a 1981 300SD. The body is excellent, has beautiful custom wheels. The leather interior needs some work. I had been driving it daily for years. The car has 202,900 miles on it. In 2009, one day after work it wouldn't start and made a loud squealing sound when I cranked it. I suspect that the compressor locked down and the belt was the squealing sound. I was laid off shortly after that and just had the car towed back to my house. I got myself an E320 shortly after that and never have looked into the issues on the 300SD. I am in need of some cash now and hate the thought of the 300SD just sitting in my driveway wasting away. I am at work now, but will be posting some photos in the next day or two, just trying to drum up some interest and see who all might be looking to buy. I am in McKinney, Texas. I will be in the $2000 - $2500 range on price. Thanks and let me know if you might be interested!

Update: I am uploading some photos. Scroll down in the thread to see them.

1981 300SD

I have interest, but need much more info. I'll need to review a copy of the front and back of the current title. Mileage? Known problems? Photos?

I will get to work on that, wgsa001. It may be Wednesday before I can do it. That will be my next days off, but I will get on it then. Thanks for the reply!

What approvals are you speaking about?

Whose approval do you need?

In the spirit of all the election mumbo-jumbo

"I'm Aero I, and I approve this message"

SL's & 124's

Yes, it's much easier here. Use the attach button. The paper clip above the text box.

Here are 3 more photos. I failed to mention the car also has a Pioneer cd system and speakers. Definitely a sturdy car. Would be a great car to work on for/with a teenager.
