Agree with the salvage title concerns. It might help if you knew why it has a salvage title.
The car was only 2 years old when it was salvaged according the eBay listing.
Wreck, stolen, flood, fire?
The biggest worry is long term maintenance costs, and your post gives a lot to worry about.
You should do a die test on the A/C system to prove where it's NOT leaking. Hopefully the evap is OK. The post above quoting prices to replace the evap is in the right ballpark. (I did the green die test on my wifes 94 E420, resulted in floresent green residue coming out of the evap... that car sure looked wierd with the dash removed, (replace all the vacume pods while you're there..))
How about the soft top hydralics, have they ever been replaced? Sitting up folded for a couple of years doesn't help the seals out any... you need to exersize the top every so often.
Also M104 motors will need a need head gasket replacement sooner or later at that milage( if it hasn't been done already). Might as well do the water pump, timing chain etc while doing it.
Almost easy to get repair costs in the same ballpark as your asking price.
There was just another Salvage title SL here in the last few days, asking price was $11K, the eBay best offer was $1050..no sale
Easy cars to buy, tough to sell, you competition is 500SLs without all these problems, for not much more money
