No pics its at a friends lot. I can tell you its a 91, black with saddle interior that has no tears, 18" staggered AMG wheels, iirc about 89K on the odometer, body is straight, has a minor oil leak which will be repaired once car is sold he had said. Has the clear side blinkers and a full system with 2 amps and 2 subs in the compartment area of the car.

Once people here salvage title they move on especially this time of year he said and he is probably right. Trying to sell a V8 convertible with winter around the corner and gas prices going up means the buyer will be and can be very selective in their purchase.

I don't want to sound like a wet blanket but thats reality IMO. Personally I would go nowhere near a salvage title on a high end car.

Mercedes aren't for people who want to have one, it's for people who can have one.

I appreciate the feedback first and foremost. The hit was very light front end however as you well know with these cars parts and labor can quickly exceed value regardless of the gravity of the accident and the financial whim of the insurance company. I have the entire rebuild documented it was done by a Mercedes dealership, with oem parts. I have all the supporting paperwork you could ever want but if the number is really going to come in that low in reference to the potential sales price I will just keep it. Thanks for taking the time to weigh in.

Nothing here constitutes an AMG. Looks to have an unpainted aftermarket kit, AMG usually painted the door paneling body color (With the except for a few Japanese Imports), You have stock wheels, stock interior, and no engine modification documentation.

Also, there is nothing "light about AIR BAG DEPLOYED
VEHICLE WAS TOWED

I think you have a great project/parts car, maybe $3k? especially with the low mileage. GLWS!

the bickering and snickering could end...if someone who is interested went to see the car and issued a somewhat independent report.

1997 S320 140k miles
1994 e320 Cab 90k miles

Sold: 1972 280SE 4.5 153k miles. The car that started my passion for simple, well made automobiles.
