How about a set of staggered 18" BBS type 5 for a BMW E39 (2001 525Touring)
Yes. I love the style5 wheels. Too bad they can't fit a Benz. They are a great value since there are so many if them that came stock on BMWs.
I have a 95 E320 Cabrio...i LOVE those Lorinser LOs...what wheel spec (offset) should i be looking for ? Non Staggered set preferred
any for sale out there ?
The Lorinser LO that you have probably fallen in love with are most likely the lower offset ones that won't work on your w124. I recently sold a set of four 8x16 et11.
has a set of 9x16 et10 rears and 8x16 et35 fronts for sale. The 8x16 et35 fronts look great, but for a w124, you would need those for both front and back, not achieving that deep lip that you probably desire. The 8x16 et35 look identical to the 8x16 et22, but have a shorter "stalk" on the back that connects to the hub. The 8x16 et22 are able to bolt right onto a 560sl where the et35 require a spacer.
Here is a picture of one 8x16 et22 I have. Notice how the lip is smaller.
When putting four of these on a car, it is hard to justify the difference from the r129/evo1 8x16 et34 stock MB wheels. The LOs definitely look cleaner with straight spoke and a polished lip though.
If still interested in LOs, we can see what we can pull together from the four et35 I split up a few years ago. I know Pearson's are for sale, and I am sure the other guy that got the other two et35 would love to upgrade to a wide lip rear wheel.
