Wouldn't it benefit others if the discussions (minus insults) are out in the open forum?
I'm also interested in buying these wheels and have been observing several for sale postings of the OP on different forums for the same wheels for a long time. I'm hesitant because thou the price is reasonable none had sold.
I mean no disrespect to the OP. But, 2 grand is too big to loose on an unsecured long distance transaction.
Anyway, good luck with the sale.
Just a thought or two about reducing the risks, how about a Customs import/export broker, or a Frieght forwarding company, or a trusted BW member close enough to the seller to drive over and inspect them in person. Lets say you pay a broker $2100 (maybe $2200), to make a secured and insured purchase, and the seller delivers the wheels to the local broker and is paid by the broker. Then pay for the shipping costs on top of that, you'll probably have them delivered safey for around $2300 or $2400...
There are probably a lot of companies in Phoenix that would take the business, just a matter of finding out how much they charge to be the middle man, and if it's worth it. For an item thats rare and costly, the extra money is just insurance that you'll get the item delivered.
The cheapest would be friendly help from a friend or fellow member to make the purchase, and any UPS store will box and ship them. Do you know anyone close to Phoenix you can trust?
I've always wanted a set of these wheels, and if I hadn't picked up 22 spoke wheels already, I'd probably be interested myself.
I'm surprised the seller hasn't put them on eBay, they would have probably been sold already.
