This was my Grandfather's car and he had habit of doing jobs the right way. The line item listed above says "Front end subframe removal R&R $2,202.97" So, I am not sure if this was "replaced" or the kit you refer to was used, but again, it was done at a dealership to the tune of $2,200 so I a buyer could be confident that any inherent problems were properly dealt with.

Again, a prospective buyer would have detailed records and the benefit of speaking with the service tech if they wished.

Thanks!

Myocytex, take a gander at this thread. If the invoice you have doesn't list part number and a charge for either a new subframe or the gusset kit it likely was not addressed. A quick look at those pics and then the car would answer the question and allow you to properly advise any potential buyers.

This car is an '85 380SL...

The subframe entry says R&R so perhaps it was repaired and replaced.
The recall only applies to iron block V8 W107. The 380SL was not subject to the recall. Not saying it didn't need to be, but it wouldn't have been flagged by a dealer, most likely, because it wasn't covered by the recall.

Life is too short for bad wine or bad cinema.
