$2,250.00 or thereabouts. I will certainly take more and probably take less.

Even though this is my first post, I have been gleaning info here for the last couple years, so thank you. I bought this car from my father-in-law a couple years ago for my kids to drive to school. Today is the last day of school and I am getting a newer vehicle so I don't have to worry about reliability. I also have a '69 bug in my shop that is in the throes of a resto so I don't need any more projects.
Since I have had it: New tires, new battery, new O2 sensor, new starter, new front pads (but not rotors), new rotor and cap, a lot of work on vacuum lines and connectors, etc.
It runs very strong (except for one issue - see "The Bad"); starts right up, idles appropriately.
The body is straight. There is a smudge on the right front bumper and a door ding on the passenger door.
It passed the bi-annual California smog within the last 90 days and is registered.
It is an old car with a lot of miles. Although it runs great, it occasionally dies, but always starts right up again. It has only happened while I was driving twice and a couple times with my kids driving. The first time with me was many months ago and I cleaned the fuel pump relay connectors and checked a few wiring connections and that "fixed" the problem until a couple weeks ago. I repeated the "fix" and so far so good. However, I am confident that problem is something else. It's hard to diagnose because it is so sporadic. Who knows.
It has a shudder at 60ish, which I assume is caused by a bad trans mount or engine mount, but again, who knows.
The dash and seats have cracks. It has an aftermarket stereo that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I assume it is a wiring issue, but, who knows?
The paint on top is faded. The previous owner (F-in-L) resprayed the front end, but he either tried to match the paint himself or used the wrong code because it is a different shade of blue.
The tires have a thousand miles or so, but the front are Goodyear and the back are Bridgestone. My F-in-L replaced the fronts before I got the car and I replaced the back but my tire shop doesn't carry Goodyear so I bought a comparable Bridgestone.
I would much rather sell to someone on this board who has an interest in MBZ than to some yokel on Craigslist who will eventually abandon it alongside the roadway.
