Someone please save this W123 6.9, Dallas TX

1979 MERCEDES 6.9 FOR SALE

It's apparently in a junk yard, whoever put it there should be executed. It's in beautiful condition other than looks like an idiot lowered it. Guess they're currently asking $3000 but you know junk yards, they ask a certain price and then eventually they'll get tired of it and crush it for their $300 in metal...assholes. Someone please save it! I'd buy it just to save it and easily make money on it but I have no storage space at all!

I hope that isn't the case and the SLS has 'failed' because the car hasn't been driven enough.

But I agree, someone save this beauty!

Will

This isn't a 116? Either way, definitely deserves saving

Aahh sorry I guess it's a 116, I keep getting confused even though I own several old Benz's. Very glad about the interest here, I will seriously sleep better for the rest of my life knowing this beautiful car was saved...

I sure hope you can save this from the crusher. Thou space is a concern, someone (hopefully from this forum) would get it.... at least you'd help this nice classic buy some time to look for a new home.

Understandable. They are all fairly similar. I wish badly I was in the area and they would take my car as a trade. This is the car that got me into benzs. And its the same color as mine. Member alabassi might be interested. I know he lives around there and saves a lot of old benzs.

Edit: Starting a thread in the 126 section, I know we have a few Dallas members around there.

Oh man you have no idea how much of a concern space is for me right now. 5 cars in storage and several more at different houses, I already desperately need to sort through some cars and get them more adequately stored for their restoration that they'll be getting when I have the time and money. I was just really hoping someone here would be in a better situation for picking up another car. That place is no place for this car, my God, it makes me want to cry just seeing it there.
