WTB: W123 Cruise Control parts for Manual Trans. (prefer pre-'81)

Hey folks,

I'm looking for a few pieces to make a somewhat clean install on the '77 240D.

Looking for cruise control:
1) clutch & brake switches
2) associated switch brackets
3) associated wiring

I am not looking for the Curise Control Amplifier nor the actuator. I plan on using the Audiovox CCS 100 system, but I want to tie in the OEM switches and controls as much as possible.

Thanks in advance.

I didn't even know it was possible to use cruise control on a manual transmission - does it downshift for you as needed? Would be interested in adding this to my 200D...

No, the cruise control would not downshift the transmission. The purpose of the clutch switch is to disengage the cruise control if the clutch pedal is pressed down. It works much like the brake switch, only for the clutch.

Without the clutch switch, the cruise control would register a deceleration once the clutch is pressed in and apply more throttle to keep the car up to speed. You essentially have a broken feedback loop without the switch, which would cause the cruise control to go to full throttle.

Thanks for the info. What's the difference between the pre-81 and later styles?

'81/'82 is where many of the part numbers change for the 123.123 chassis (a.k.a. 240D)

Probably not that important.

"When stepping down on clutch pedal, the switch (arrow) interrupts the ground connection from stop lamps to control unit. The cruise control will then be immediately switched off similar to braking."
