1994 SL500 Convertable

This beautiful car is going to auction on Saturday. It is immaculate condition on the inside with camel colored leather seats. The red exterior is nearly perfect with only the clear coat on the drivers door post pealing slightly. It is in sound mechanical condition and purrs like a kitten. It has 132000 miles. Starting bid will be $5500. Please contact me immediately if you are interested.

I am not a dealer. I am an individual that was previewing auction vehicles yesterday to buy a personal economical vehicle. This car happened to be there. I was simply putting the offer out to anyone that might be interested. It's a nice car. I'm not even asking for a commission. Just trying to put the word out. Sorry if I offended you.

New user, all posts on topic of selling this car.

Bought the car at auction, typically a dealer thing though there are exceptions. Regardless, you bought the car on spec and are looking to resell quickly. Those two things are very like a dealer.

There's risk buying car at auction. Dealer/licensed buyer can only start the car. No drive.

Apparently I didn't make myself clear. This car WILL BE in an auction Saturday. I do not own it. I have no connection to it at all. If someone is interested in it, with proper documents giving permission, I will be happy to bid on it as your proxy since I will be there for personal reasons.

You are correct, however these vehicle are driven on the lot under their own power. Does that mean there is nothing wrong with them? Certainly not! That's why you know the value after repairs and estimate repairs when deciding on your high bid. I am a mechanic. There was nothing glaringly obvious wrong with this vehicle. This is a Goodwill auction where vehicles are donated. It started smoothly, ran good, all fluids are good and the transmission shifted smoothly in a back and forward movement. This vehicle was in this same auction 2 months ago. High bid at that time was $5000, reserve was $5500. Last month they pulled it from the auction. It is back in this month.
