Somehow I feel this is from some other mb forum to just troll here and make this forum bad.

Is there a way we can stop these people from posting till let's say 25-50 posts. Don't like doing that personally but looking at increased activity of such posts..................
Agreed- this is obviously a scam post.

I concur that something must be done to stop these posts by people whose sole purpose of joining BW is to sell something. I am convinced that half of the cars that show up in the FS forum are car dealers or wannabe car dealers. Tell me, when was the last time anyone has purchased anything one of these so-called members has offered? I'd bet never or almost never. That's what craigslist and eBay are for. It may sound snobbish, but I feel like you should have to earn the right post an item for sale in the FS forum here on BW, otherwise how is the BW FS forum any different from craigslist?

Before I bought my 911, I joined 6speedonline.com (Porsche forum) to post a for sale ad to help a friend sell his P-Car. I was dismayed to learn that I could not post an ad in their FS forum until I was a member for 30 days and had 20 legitimate posts (or something close to that). Period. I was pissed for a minute, but then I stopped to think about it. Did I have any intention upon joining this community and participating? No. Would I bring anything of value to the community? No. I was only attempting to sell a car for friend. To that end, what reason what I have to even be honest and disclose issues that the car had? No reason at all to be honest. Not like I would be coming back. I would have brought absolutely nothing to the table. End of story.

If such a rule were instituted here on BW, I think that the items listed in the for sale forum would be higher quality items, with better odds of full and fair disclosure. Items would be offered by people who are actually members of our community, not just someone using BW as another conduit like eBay or craigslist for peddling their wares.

There has certainly been an influx of new members with nuisance posts, and not just in the for sale forum either, I noticed it starting last month

Could even be just one person with nothing better to do, or maybe someone with an Ax to grind... who knows

I would imagine a super moderator could track sources of new members, just not practical or ethical most likely... might be easy to see several different new members signing up from one common ip...

A tough job for a mod.. try to balance freedom of speech with abuse and how to tell which is which...

Maybe we're better off just ignoring the posts, silence can be surprisingly powerful

It would be nice if a minimum post count could be established prior to posting in the For Sale.

I don't see an asking price in the first post so I'll assume you're asking $2500. And since I can't see anything but the front driver's side in 5 of essentially the same photo, I'll assume the passenger side has catastrophic damage totaling the car, and the interior is ripped tan cloth. So I counter my own offer and I am now asking $1300 to take it off your hands. I am negotiable.

I looked at a boat a few years ago that had received a marine inspection prior to donation to a worthy cause. The boat received a value of $22K. Topside was decent but the boat had rotten stringers, ribs and transom... real worle value? About $4K. Giving the benefit of the doubt this could be the case here.

But I intensely doubt it.

I'm interested in the land in the first picture, wondering how much they want for it separately.
