Tapered Hub spacers
Hi, and thanks for asking, the front hub will accommodate any size spacer, within reason, since the hub was machined to remove the taper and the machined sleeve takes up the clearance to center the rim on the hub.
20mm should still work, the limitation would be that at some point the sleeve would ride on the grease cap, rather then the hub.
Depending upon your wheel offset, I would imagine you may run into clearance issues with the fender to tire becoming very close.
This set up worked very well with 225/60/16 on Evo 1 rims, 16X8, et 34 on a W126.
You have to remember that back then, nobody made front wheel spacers that fit the tapered hub. I have seen spacers now that accept the grease cap but I have no experience with that new style spacer, nor do I know where they are made. Offshore ?
What size rim and tire are you attempting to fit onto what chassis ?
