I can't remember if the C&C holder expands or if it has a cork bottom. If I can get out of the shop today I'll run over there, take pics and check.

Yeah.....until you spill the thing. I know, tops, straws and other 'features' may make it easier, but c'mon, get up a little earlier and have your coffee at home.

Hey, your probably right, but our culture has changed for better or worse, cup holders are here to stay, (and if you don't want to use them, great for you).

But for the most of us, drinking a beverage while driving is like scratching your butt when it itches.... just normal life style stuff...

If Mercedes didn't approve, none of thier new vehicles would have them either.

If this is just a pure American thing, does Mercedes delete cup holders from the cars they sell in Germany now?

Just wondering....lol

Here's the C&C cup holer in all it's glory. It does expand but doesn't have a cork bottom. What's the cork for anyway? You make your beverage more comfortable? Cork doesn't absorb all that much liquid as evidenced by a cork coaster on a humid day.

The car that the C&C cup holder is attached to is for for sale if anyone is interested.

I think the cork also adds some friction to the mug bottom, and besides looks much nicer than the hard plastic.

Easy enough to buy a sheet of it and cut to shape and glue it in yourself...

Also got to thinking about marine suppliers, those type of holders have been used on boats for years, here is one that looks to be adjustable as well, comes in black grey and white...
