WTB: W123 Diesel Engine

I have a 240D in need of an engine. Willing to buy a 2.4 or 3.0L diesel engine. Also, was wondering if a turbo diesel engine could be fitted into a nonturbo without too much headaches.

I'm in Texas.

I have a 3.0 five cylinder turbo Diesel engine I'd consider selling. I'm in Illinois, near St. Louis, MO. I can provide more information if you are interested. Bill

I'm not so worried about size, as I believe the 3.0 should fit without much problems. I'm just not sure what's involved in fitting a turbo into a nonturbo--can't seem to find in-depth literature. I will keep looking but will keep you in mind.

I'm currently changing the type of engine in a 2001 C240. If you are interested in what I have learned there, let me know. I think that I now understand what it takes to do this. In addition, since I have the whole car which has the turbo engine, any electronics which might be required are there. If you are interested, I probably have everything which would be required to convert it to a five speed manual transmission. What is the model number of your car? Bill
