Thanks for the kind words Badwayz and Mikeworks, I bought BW member allydon's 3 piece OZ AMG's fully reconditioned and just letting some of my spares go. I currently only have (1) w126, it's a good one and deserves the best set of shoes out there. BTW: Just about to finish my w124 coupe project. A few weeks away. I've done all the standard mod's and a few creative mod's that will make this one bad ass 300 coupe. Definitely worth entering it as a candidate for "ride of the month". Soon I will post forsale a couple more sets of wheels and tires for w126. Both of these sets are near mint, new tires and 18" staggered.

Im in love... How much do you think it would cost to ship to NY? And how much do you think it would cost to remove the chrome and bring it to its original finish?

Chrome removal.... I have been able to obtain two prices for chrome removal:
- near philadelphia, $100 per wheel
- wheel shop in Socal, $50/wheel plus $25 each way for shipping. This way a price my local wheel shop has negotiated, and they recommend having the Socal wheel shop do the finishing work too.

So for me, it would be $100 per wheel either way.

Then there's the decision about the desired finish:
- paint (inexpensive)
- polish (very expensive)

I'm searching for two Lorinser LOs indtead of stripping the chrome from two of my four chrome LOs. Maybe I will make a decision this summer.

Those AeroI wheels look like they could be enjoyed as is for quite a while before spending the extra money on chrome removal.

Only one is really peeling. I was going to take a dremel or wire brush on drill and smooth out the problem area ( primarily the lip and rim area then spray with some chrome paint. )Wouldn't be show quality but nice at 5 or 10 feet. The real challenge is finding authentic amg 17" aero 1's with an ET of 11. Mike

and rare to find these wheels with the original center caps. Mike is a highly regarded enthusiast and straight up guy. Good deal on these wheels/tires.

why would that stop you? ground shipping is cheap. These wheels E11 are extremely difficult to find.
