FS: (4) Original AMG Aero 1's for restoration $200

I have 4 AMG Aero 1's that are currently chrome. One has significant peeling, one minor peeling and 2 that are in good shape. I was going to refurbish but found some other wheels for my car. These are 16" with ET 35. I took the wheels to a local refurbisher and he said all need minor straightening to be perfect. One wheel has an obvious bend on outside lip. There are no cracks in any of the wheels. I just don't want to invest in these wheels. If these are something you have been searching for to complete a project they are well worth it. Located in Seattle, WA area. Prefer local sale. $200 for all 4 wheels. Mike 206-349-9630

Probably $35 to $45 each. You would be better off looking for something local. That's practically the price of each wheel.

Do you know if those would be the right size and type for an '89 560SL?

Thanks!

Those are for a w124 or w201. An r107 needs an offset of 11.

Bob,
The offset for a 560 is 25, different then all other 107's. These might fit with a 10mm spacer on the front.

MagicBigDaddy:

Despite all the offset talk above, I see no mention of the width. You can't know what offsets will work without knowing the width. Please post that.

Then, the next person driving from WA to SoCal should drop these off at whatever wheel refurb shop my local wheel refurbisher uses... because my local wheel shop only has to pay $50/wheel for chrome removal. Unfortunately, I'd have to pay $25/wheel each way... another $50/wheel for a total of $100 per wheel for chrome stripping. So if someone is making a tour from WA to Socal... Or put them on a greyhound or something.

Correction on size. 16 x 7 1/2. Et40. Wheels stamped AMG W Germany. part # C 7400119. Since no one appears to either understand what these are or how rare they are I think my best option now is to refurbish the wheels and list them here and eBay. They will bring top dollar in "as new" condition. Mike

Those are great wheels... easy to clean, too. I have those exact wheels on my 190E AMG.
