Now that we've got the width, we can determine that the ideal offset for these wheels on an r107 would be in the range of about 17-18. I believe that with a 225/50/16 tire, the offset might range from about 28-5 and still fit the car. So I'm thinking 20-25mm spacers would make these fit ideally on an r107. That would leave the question of lug-nut length. I'm not sure how much lug nut depth the casting takes. The only way I know to do this is to stick a lug nut of known shaft length and measure how much it sticks out the back. (i.e. stick in 40mm shaft lug... say 15mm stick out the back... then the wheel takes up 25mm of shaft.... at that plus spacer plus the amount f shaft your car required into the hub... my r107 require ~12-13mm... then try to find the right length lugs.) Just trying to help.
I TOTALLY agree with refurbishing these instead of selling them for $200. Even though I don't need any wheels, I was considering buying these to flip them (after I figure out how to inexpensively refinish flaking chrome wheels... I've already got four that need chrome removal.)
Correction on size. 16 x 7 1/2. Et40. Wheels stamped AMG W Germany. part # C 7400119. Since no one appears to either understand what these are or how rare they are I think my best option now is to refurbish the wheels and list them here and eBay. They will bring top dollar in "as new" condition. Mike
