You said you know of a shop in So. Cal that would strip chrome for $50 per wheel? do they machine and polish too? I live in So Cal and I'm interested in doing that to my LOs. Can you tell me the name of the shop? Thanks!

Sorry my local wheel shop did not disclose the provider, but for some reason Fast Forward (???) sounds correct. I also noticed that someone closer to me in Philadelphia mentioned they got a set stripped at DGM Metals near Philadelphia for only $200. (I bet they hate having that kind of stuff posted online... then again it might bring them a lot more business.) I might try them this summer.

I will sell the chrome LOs without tires when I find just one more 8x16 et22. If I don't find one by this summer, I will get at least two of the chrome wheels stripped, probably at DGM Metals.

I think I've finally got the plan worked out. I like both the staggered LOs and the BBS RS too much to sell either.

4 Firestone 225 -->> BBS RS009
2 Mich. Pilot 245 -->> 9x16 et10 LOs - go on after filling pits in lips and polish
2 Dunlop SP 225 from BBS -->> 8x16 etXX non chrome LOs
1 Sumitomo 225 -->> Spare tire

I just hope I end up with 4 chrome LOs to sell without tires, not three spare tire LO wheels.

EDIT: for pics:
9x16 et10 Lorinser LO in 245/50/16 on the back of the r107:

And the BBS RS in 225/50/16:

EDIT: realized I've yet to post a picture of the latest addition... a single et22 which looks very nice, like maybe diamond cut spokes an lip and a painted face. So here's a compare-and-contrast pic showing (clockwise): new et22, EVO1 original condition painted, stripped 9x16 et10, and one of the original chrome LOs that I stumbled upon locally while picking up some chrome "560sl" wheels.

- Two 9x16 et10 Lorinser LOs with two 245/50/16 tires are effectively sold, or at least promised to someone about an hour from me.

AVAILABLE:

- Four Chrome 8x16 et11 - Chrome Peeling - $600 + Shipping. (I can get stripped for $75 each/$300 for the set at DGM in Philly) Since I want the tires from these, if you want the new, soft, Firestone Indy500 tires, add $400 to the price. When these are sold I plan on moving these tires to my silver BBS RS009s.

- One 8x16 et22 (for a 560sl) - $250 + Shipping (firm) - This wheel is in near original condition with what I believe is the original LO paint scheme, painted face and holes, and diamond cut spokes and lip. Pristine in my opinion.

- "Staggered" Gold BBS RS to fit a 560sl (RARE!) - BBS RS133 8x16 et21 (6.5" barrels + 1" lips) + RS009 8x16 et11 (5.5" barrels + 2" lips). This is kind of the ultimate flexible set for a 60's - 80's Mercedes on nearly any of the low offset cars (w116, w123, r/c107, w126, and probably more). These are SO rare because they can also fit a 560sl with the RS133 wheels mounted on the front. Fitting wheels on the front of a 560sl is a major challenge, with 17" et11 Aero1, and Gen2 Pentas, Lorinser LO et22, and RS133 being some of the only known aftermarket wheels that will fit. RS133 were specially made for the 560sl, which is why I snapped these up an split the set with a 560sl owner. In addition to being able to fit a Gen2 r107, the lips on these could be swapped to make a pretty nice set of 7"+9" wheels... and yes, with offsets that will work on the 60's-80's MBs. The RS009 with 1" lips effectively turn into RS008-spec wheels (8x16 et24), and the RS133 with 2" lips turn into 9x16 et8.3, which should certainly fit a 107 or 126. Price: $1500 (and a buyer is currently considering these, but may have gotten spooked because yesterday I discovered the 2" lips and one of the barrels are not perfect. So I am replacing them.) These will be perfect at the $1500 price. Gold centers, silver bolts, polished & clear coat lips, full height nuts and black badges. If they are not "sold" by the time I obtain the new lips and barrels, they will go on ebay.

- I also have four silver BBS RS009, but I want to keep those as long as I have my car. I could be persuaded to sell them under the right circumstances. Gold nuts (need polishing), as do the current center nuts.

- r129 EVO1 wheels. MUST UNLOAD. $100 for three. Philadelphia area sale includes 225/55/16 Pirelli tires. I will ship them in the US for $25/wheel without the tires. One wheel has had paint stripped. The other two have good paint and are certainly usable without any work, and have the usable 225/55/16 tires on them, but they are old and should be replaced. The tire on the paint-stripped wheel is dry rotted, but is certainly usable as a roller.

- 5mm generic non-hubcentric spacers (used for a test fit of the r129 wheels). $10. Cost me $15 last week. The outer diameter is a match to the r129 wheels, so I was able to tape them to the EVO1 wheels in order to make sure they mount centered (because they are not hubcentric spacers).

All in the Philadelphia area.

EDIT: P.S. if you are in the area, I would love to provide tires with the wheels too.

Updates:

- two RS133 gone.
- two gold RS009 in rough shape and will be getting new lips and barrels. Off the market until further notice. Therefore I have no BBS RS for sale at this time.
- Chrome 8x16 et11 LOs have had tires removed. Considering getting chrome stripped, but that will increase my asking price significantly.
- I have 225/50/16 tires for local buyers, but only two are "new" tires, the Dunlops in 225/50/16. The others are just Sumitomos.

Not new info:
- Rare et22 single LO still available
- EVO1s are a plague on my garage and could get relegated to the exterior junk pile, or put on my wheelbarrow. Or just put on fleaBay.

EDIT: Two posts up, "Fast Forward" is not a shop in SoCal that my local shop has even ever heard of let alone send business to.

It is all available now, even the silver bbs rs009 with tires that I now have on my black sl. I plan to sell the sl because I am purchasing an slc that has 7+8x16 fondmetal basketweaves on it already. The sl will hopefully get sold with the original steelies on it.

I have also had the chrome lorinsers stripped down, leaving just a little of the thin copper that is easily sanded/ machined off. The curbing is basically all gone as it was mostly just the chrome that was curbed. The remaining scuffs will most likely not even show through primer and paint. If you are interested inthese let me know. I can alter my plans, which are currently to primer, duplicolor silver, and then clear coat.

Same goes for bbs rs. I can assemble them after I know what color and size/fit is desired.

I should kill this thread as most of the items mentioned in here are NLA.

For BBS RS, go here: http://www.benzworld.org/forums/sale...bs-rs-fit.html

Most recent Lorinser LO info (just four 8x16 et11, and one 8x16 et22 now) info is listed here: http://www.benzworld.org/forums/r-c1...ml#post5293004

I hope I don't get in trouble for giving myself this bump, but if Kashi doesn't take these four 8x16 et11 for $1200, then they are going up on ebay.

A picture with the paint done. (Back sides just primed.)

EDIT: SALE PENDING.

(Edit: oh, of the LOs, which is lighter? I'm sorry I don't know. I think the width is the biggest factor. I could potentially weight the three different sizes I have. I don't have any of the evo1 wheels to weigh anymore, but I think those are pretty good quality wheels.)

8" BBS RS are about 16 lbs and 8" LO are about 20 lbs. "about" is a key word in those phrases. Chrome ads weight. Typically worked/cut wheels are going to weigh less. BBS RS older style have heavier thick (unbendable) waffles, but can also take the newer thinner waffles (but newer bbs rs can take older thicker waffles). There are a lot of
Variables.

These 9" LOs went to a 560sl owner in the Baltimore area. I don't currently have any 9" LOs, but am workin on putting together another set, currently having five good wheels:
(3) 8x16 et11, (1) 7x16 et23, (1) 8x16 et22 (which I'm really just holding until another et22 comes along).

I've got 3 sets of BBS RS.

I have read this thread numerous times and just can't determine which if any wheels are still available.

Would you help me with which, if any of these wheels are still available?
