(Car will comes with a digital history of maintenance)
Car runs very well. Turbo pulls strong for highway passing. Ride is very smooth, as Mercedes intended. This car has been very reliable, in keeping with the strong maintenance history - we've taken it for several 2000 and 3000 mile trips. Would be an excellent veggie conversion.
Existing issues are few, so I've listed them exhaustively. The paint on the roof has some scratches, but the remainder of the car is in beautiful shape. Minor rust on the rear wheel well and on a door drain. The transmission has a small flare shifting up in low gears, which has been stable over the years I've owned the car (transmission was recently inspected and adjusted), and does not affect drivability. Hood support hinge is slightly bent - creaks in operation. Rear driver's side window does not work - has a bent regulator, but the switch and electrics work. Finally, the air conditioning compressor pulley should be replaced - A/C works excellent otherwise, but I haven't had the time to swap the pulley.
Vehicle comes with a number of extras. An excellent stereo, with dedicated amplifier, subwoofer, and iPod connector - original Blaupunkt stereo included. Summer and winter (studded) tires with 80% tread. Factory maintenance manual. Oil pan heater for cold winter starts. Original toolkit, trunk reflector, and medical kit.
This car will easily live to 400k. Only selling because I inherited my grandfather's 190D - I intended to keep this car forever, and maintained it accordingly. Serious inquiries only - I am familiar with the market and the community for these cars, and have priced the car for its condition.
Priced at $2850. Available for inspections in Boston, MA.
