The wheels I bought from a member in Oregon that recently did a complete restoration on an 80's 280TE wagon. They are reps made in Italy back in the late 80's. Very nice quality copies of BBS. I thought the gold went well with the burgandy color of the car. I also have a set of Centras from that era or a set of pre merger AMG Aero 1's. There would be an up charge for the Aero 1's. I have 3 SEC's. This one I have had for over a year and slowly but surely have brought it back to life. It is an honest NW rust free car. Original paint, all stickers on body parts match etc. A/C even works! I wish my interiors were this nice in my other cars. I had leatherique make me some dye for the seats but after I treated them with their resto product I decided not to apply the dye. Car should sell for $5 or $6K but market is soft right now and I have too many benz's. Someone will get a nice car for little money. Market really sucks! I also have a really nice 87 190-16V, genuine car with lots of records forsale for $4800 and no one has even looked at it for 3 weeks. 90% of the buyers would prefer a middle of the road Honda Accord with more miles than a classic benz. I just don't understand. Maybe my marketing is wrong. Instead of being straight up and honest I should price these gems about 2 to 3K more and list them "best cash offer today!"? I probably would get more money but that's not the way I roll.
