2001 Mercedes C240 w/ Sport package in Brilliant Silver.
The car currently has about 82,400 miles on it. I have owned it since it had about 12,000 miles and it has always been an Arizona car. It is in excellent condition cosmetically and mechanically. You will be hard pressed to find a better example. It has never been in a crash or had any body work done. It has been maintained by MB Motors (the owner is the president of the Mercedes Benz Club of America Arizona chapter) and all service is current. Just had new rear brake pads installed. A couple of the common issues in this model C-Class have been replaced like the front lower control arms and the driver side front seat control module. Engine mounts were replaced a couple years ago. Transmission serviced at about 75,000. The car was always garaged until 2009, and it has had a carport since then, so the paint and plastics are in great shape.
The sport package for 2001 added 16 wheels with 225 width tires, the gray interior trim (instead of wood) and different front and rear bumpers and side skirts. The car currently has 17 wheels from a 2005 C230 Sport. These wheels are staggered (225 width in front, 245 in rear) so you cannot rotate them. I still have the original 5 spoke wheels if you would prefer those. The car has the springs, struts, shocks and sway bars from a C32 AMG and it handles well. Both front seats are full power with memory. The seats are full leather, not just leather seating surfaces. It has a power moon roof, rain sensing wipers, auto on/off lights, 60/40 split folding rear seats, rear pass-through with ski bag, Huper Optik 35% window tint (I lined the rubber window seals with felt so there are no scratches in the tint except for the one described below) and a full size spare. I will also include some H&R springs if you want (not installed).
The stereo has a cassette deck and there is no cd changer. I have added an auxiliary input so that when you push the tape button on the stereo, it switches to the aux input. It no longer plays tapes, but it works great with an ipod or other music device. I have also added a Parrot Bluetooth system (ck3000), so when I get a call the stereo mutes and the call is heard through the car speakers.
The fog light lenses are cracked from getting hit with stones.
Normal chips on hood from driving.
scratch on the front of the passenger wheel well. This was there when I got it, and is barely noticeable.
I think there is a slight scratch on the passenger mirror, also there when I got it and barely noticeable.
There is a scratch through the window tint about 6" long on the passenger rear window from when the window dropped into the door after the plastic part holding it failed. This part has been replaced with the newer metal piece on both rear doors.
Rear tires need replaced soon.
