Has been in garage

I bought the car about 5 years ago, but haven't had the time to restore it. It has been in my garage since I bought it. I put new front brakes on the car. Timing chains were not an issue on this model. Thank you

Wrong. The chain can stretch. The tensioner fails. Cam sprockets wear. But the most common failure is the plastic guide rails. They become brittle due to age and heat cycles. They can break and cause catastrophic engine failure. It is well documented. With that mileage it is overdue for service.

Rowdie is correct on the timing chain/gear/etc issue. Don't bother coming back and quoting some one else saying "it aint a problem on the 560..." The issue is well documented.

It does not mean that your car is a dog, nor undesirable/unmarketable. All it means is a prospective buyer is staring at $800-1000 in immediate repairs for piece of mind and preservation of the engine. Ignore this, and you will have a boat anchor for an engine when the timing slips/chain breaks, due to a failed guide; punching a hole in the valve cover, bending valves, possibly rods, breaking/bending cams, cracking cam tower mounts, punching holes in pistons, ad infinitum, ad nausem...

Where is it again that we are going... And why are we in a handbasket?
