Always helpful to include the actual wheel sizes, just 17" isn't enough, additional info needed is the rim width and the wheels Offset, (ET)

Look on the back of the wheels, you should find a number that is in this examples format.

8J x 17H2 ET44,

8J = 8 inch rim width, 17H2 = Rim diameter, & ET44 = 44 mm offset

All three numbers together will help anyone decide if these wheels will fit thier car.

Also, some wheel setups are what is called "Staggered", where the two rear rims are wider by design.

When that happens you need to post two different wheel sizes, one for the front two, and a different size for the rear two wheels.

But since all your tires are 255/45 R17, then all four wheels are probably the same size, (it wouldn't hurt to check anyway).

Nice looking wheels, GLWS

That should be a Sticky on how to post a wheel/rim ad. Car they were origianlly on helps too, narrows down the field a bit!!

Agreed, very nice looking.

Thanks for replies guys (or gals).

They looked even better on my '07 C280 until some idiot ran a red light and wrecked my car. These tires were in storage and were not involved in the accident

I attached a picture of numbers from the back of the rims as well as a picture of the rims on the car. Sorry, its the only picture I have of them on the car.

cheers

That one tire in your picture shows a 225 size tire. You might have a staggered set. I wish you were closer. I would love to get these.

Kine--indeed a shame to lose a beautiful machine but she did her job well, you're still around to tell the tale!!

Ipaman--take a look at the second photo in the original post. From that angle it sure looks like a staggered set from that angle. I can't tell the width of the sipes but overall looks like a 20mm difference in width. 225 and 245??

Good luck with your sale, it's a nice package.

Good picture

All you need to do is clarify that all 4 wheels are the same, or take a picture of the wheel size that is different.

The extra confusion is caused by your first post text says 255/45, but the closeup of the one tires clearly shows a 225 tire. So is 255 a typo, or are there two different sizes?

Thats why the extra questions about a possibility of two different sizes.

ps: they would nicely fit an e class as well, perfect size fit on a 124 class for those with that style in mind.

Thanks for the sentiment, this is an amazing community!

That was actually a typo, the tires are 225/45.

If they don't sell locally soon, I am going to post them on ebay. I'll let you know Ipaman.
