You may want to clarify that this is a "450SLC" not a 450SL. Big Difference! Really more rare. Price and shipping for the front grill shell and star to 37203?

Can you tell me what is different..? I know the engine, but anything else that differentiates the car from a standard SL?

thanks for the help..

We just started taking in Mercedes, and am trying to familiarize myself.

The engines were only different between Euro and USA versions of the same type, year. the engine on a 74 USA model SL would be the same as a 74 USA SLC model

biggest difference is that the SLC is a 2 door coupe with a longer wheelbase.

SL's are 2 door convertibles that also have a removable hardtop

There would also be other differences if this were a Euro model imported as a grey market and then federalized. Euro models that retained their headlights and bumpers, (or had them put back on), are more desirable. Your pictures show USA headlights and bumpers, but putting them on a Euro graymarket car was normal to get them to pass DOT reg's. The cloth seats are more of a euro thing, a picture of the climate control console would most likely confirm euro or usa, the climate control was also different between USA and Euro.

SL's & 124's
