WTB W201/W124 Diesel Fan Clutch

Would like to buy a good used fan clutch for my '87 190D 2.5turbo. I think all W201 diesels (190D, 190Dt) and W124 300D's ('87 to '91) should use the same fan clutch. Part number starts with 603 XX XX XX.

I think I spotted a 190 diesel in a yard today. I am going back on Friday, so I'll have a look. If I recall, the engine had been scavenged pretty heavily, but I don't recall seeing if the clutch was gone. Might be an easy pull.

Depends on the year also, the OP has a viscous-clutch but the early 190Ds had an electro-magnetic clutch.

ElRojo,

Thanks for checking out the fan clutch. As Jeff said the '84 (2.0L?) and '85 190D (2.2L?) use a different clutch. Only the '86 and after 190D use the viscous fan clutch. You will need an allen/hex bit socket (#10 IIRC) and something to hold the fan to take it off.

Thanks.

I have one

You just want the clutch, not the clutch & metal fan, right?
