Will these fit a 1987 300SDL? My wife and I just found one that's been living in Grandmas garage for the past 25 years, 94,000 miles. We don't want to mess with the suspension; we both really like the lorinsers. Not sure what the required offset is for our car.???
Offset is right for a 126, but I don't know if your 1987 w126 has the protruding brakes up front, and I don't know if these wheels have any issues with the protruding brakes up front like many 8x16 et11 wheel (including: Lorinser LO, AMG/ATS Penta Gen1, BBS RS009). I know that the 8x16 et11 Aero1 and Gen2 Pentas do clear the larger calipers. Those wheels just have less of a deep-dish look.
I would guess that these are unlikely to fit larger calipers, but:
- I don't know if they will or not. They could. (?)
- I don't know if your car has larger calipers or not (I'm a 107 guy, not 126, but starting in 1986, the 107 got bigger brakes.)
Here are some pics of Gen2 larger brakes/hubs, followed by a picture from a Wheeler-Dealer video of a Gen1 hub, then lots of pictures of the backs of some wheels: http://www.benzworld.org/forums/r-c1...ed-hubs-2.html
P.S. it appears these sold long ago. Looks like it was a great deal.
