Due to my daughters sports activities, and a general lack of time to enjoy what has always been my "dream car", I am offering this for sale, and hoping that it can go to a fellow Mercedes enthusiast who will cherish, use, and appreciate this, as it deserves. My father always had Mercedes, and I grew up with a revolving door of different models he would get. My favorite was a 1969 300SEL 6.3. The smell of the leather, and the looks we would get when my dad would (only if I begged) humble a unsuspecting Camaro or Mustang at a stoplight..riding in that car were some of my fondest memories of time with my dad. I always told myself I would get one someday. As time, college, marriage, and kids swept by, I never did find a 6.3, but luckily did find a "modern" version, my current 500E from a local Physician in South Texas. He was meticulous with this car, spared no expense in its upkeep, and though I have only put approx 3000 miles on the odometer since 2007, it has been a joy, and wonderful experience to own. I would classify the Parchment Leather interior as pretty close to "perfect". Never smoked in, still "smells new"..All interior functions operating flawless. The Artic White exterior is also in great shape, with minor road dings that I have never bothered to repair. Mechanically, it has had its 60,000 mile service, and it drives great. I have never drove any other 500E's, so I have no comparison to make, but it is quiet, drives straight down the road, and has no leaks of any kind. I feel this car needs nothing for the next owner to enjoy. I have all Books and Records, receipts for work done by previous owners (I have done only an oil service in my 4 years, and 3000 miles)..and the original window sticker.
I hesitate in selling this, because I know I will never get this car back. Four years ago, I would never even consider it, but life changes, kids have become teenagers..and rather than just pay insurance for a car that sits, why not let it go to someone who has the time for enjoyment?
