FS: 1990 300TE

For Sale:
1990 300TE
Approximately 190K miles.
The odometer quit working about two years ago, but I've always tracked my mileage pretty well and 190K is a high estimation, but I’d rather err on the side of being high.
This is a daily driver and I drive it about 10 miles a day for work.
I'm the fourth owner of the car. Owners 2 and 3 were brothers and it just changed hands between them.
I have all records from the previous owner and for all of the work that I've had done through an authorized Mercedes mechanic.

The Good:
The interior is in great shape, no rips or tears in MBTEX.
No cracks in the dash.
No dents or damage to exterior. Only a few minor surface rust spots.
Newer snow tires - one season
Recent minor tune-up including belt, plugs, fuel filter and other adjustments.
New voltage regulator
New battery
New rear air cells for SLS
The car is in great shape and runs great too.

Known Issues:
Odometer not working
Outside Temp Gauge Cable needs to be replaced. Temperature is about 15 degrees off.
Blower Fan for AC/Heater stopped working last week.
Driver side passenger window not working.
Rear hatch auto close motor not working, but doesn't impact the ability to close the hatch.

$2,000 or best offer.

I love this car and am really not that enthused about selling it. As this is a wife motivated sale, if it doesn’t sell, I’ll just have explain to her that I’m the only one that will ever want this car so I have to keep it. We'll see how that goes over.

Do NOT tempt us this way Ward. I can see my two Australian Shepherds proudly riding with us to Tractor Supply in this gem, thinking they've moved up in status to be touring in a Benz instead of their ginormous but ho-hum Tahoe. VERY nice car at a very good price.

Utah isn't that far from WA. I drive to Montana sometimes to buy things of interest. You could even take a bus and drive the car back.

It's Arctic White just like mine, except I have the blue MB Tex. I love these white MB's. If it was a 4matic, I'd buy it. It should sell well...good luck!!

Absolutely....and I've done that on many trips where time was critical. my front seat goes all the way back and down....you can sleep there as well.

It's a little difficult at 6'7"..

Too bad Utah is so very far away from me. I would feel waaay uneasy about a drive that far with a car I didn't know.

I think that if you laid diagonally in the back with the seats folded, you'd fit. But then I'm only 6'1"....so I can't verify this.

Dude, his car would make it...that's not that long of a trip and this is a MB. Some of us live along your route home too. I did a 5,300 mile road trip in the middle of a hot summer with the wagon and a blown head gasket. Included in that trip were many runs at 140mph....OK, not the best practice/advice, but I was being occasionally teased by rice burners...what's a guy to do?

I'd even make the offer to go get the car for you and get it this far at least, if you really want it. No high speed runs, I promise. Wait a minute, you're not the Kirkland, Wa guy.....

I'm not really in the market, it's 1,500 +/- miles away, we don't need another car, but i keep looking at it. I could fly to Boise, see my son in Mountain Home (when he gets back there), have him drive me to Utah, and drive back to Indiana. Yep.

Looks like a great deal, and i hope it sells soon for you.

Thanks for the compliments on the car. I'm pretty particular about my car, so much so that my kids and wife make fun of me.
My kids don't like the "no food" rule. I tell them if they want to abuse a car, go get in the minivan.
