Useful vacuum leak tips: (1) If you ever hear a pop coming from your V8 126 engine compartment upon start up and the engine starts running rough, check the one way vacuum valve that connects into the middle of your intake manifold passenger side valve cover; (2) If your perfectly working transmission starts shifting a little slow, check the vacuum hose connection that goes into the transmission at the rear of the engine block. Both of these vacuum hoses have a tendency to work themselves loose; once reconnected engine runs smooth and transmission is sharp. Applying a bit of RTL sealant before reconnecting the hoses is recommended when engine is cold.
