Side Mirrors

Correction on Side mirrors in earlier note ,$150 was suppose to be each...not for the pair.

Sorry - James

James, We spoke yesterday about the mirrors. I see that you have changed the price. You stated in an earlier post and you stated over the phone that the mirrors are $150 for the pair. If you are unwilling to honor the agreed upon price, I understand. The choice is yours.

Mirrors

Hello, I just have not had time to email you on your personal email yet. Since posting on here, I will make a note on the forum and email you as well.

Yesterday I had a person responding to craigslist come over and buy a hydraulic cylinder. He wants the mirrors and was ready to pay cash, but not off the doors yet. I also told him I need to talk to you first. He is willing to pay $175 a piece and I noticed the 99+ are selling for $200 a piece on ebay...the older ones are even $150 a piece.

I told him I need to talk to you first. I am not asking you to match or for pay more, but I can not loose over $200 for someone here locally ready to pay cash.

Again, I can sell the pair now for $350.00, but would be willing to take a loss to $275(includes shipping)...if you want them. this way I am only taking a$100 loss and you are still getting a better price and better than anything on Ebay.

Please let me know - Thanks

If you asking price was $300 I would have taken them, more than that I would have passed. However I am not willing to pay more than the agreed upon price. This has nothing to do with what they are selling for elsewhere. This has to do with principle and the fact that we discussed the price on the phone and you stated it in your listing. You stated that the mirrors are $150 for the pair. Prior to this you said you made a mistake, and now the truth comes that you have a better offer. Go ahead and take the better price it is your reputation.

mirrors

Joe, sorry you feel that way...but need to look at it from the business point of view. We had a conversation the day before. You did not pay for the item, and I had someone ready to buy on the spot before you. I have no guarantee that you would have ever paid for them or not changed your mind. It happens 50% of the time and the last 2 Benzworld requests have been just that...wrong part asked for or changed their mind. I can not take that chance and has been proved to be correct now, several times.

If you paid for the item, I would have simply told the guy no and shipped it out to you...but you didn't. Also, before you start talking about honor...look at yourself. You just sound disgruntled that you were not able to take advantage of my incorrect $150.00 post. These go for more than twice that, used, on Ebay.

Sorry, the proven track record has not been good for relying on people that say they are going to pay. No good businessman would ever not take an immediate sale, hoping the previous person pays for the part discussed....that has not been paid for yet.

-James
