Ouch! Don't suppose it was properly insured given it's sitting about/lack of registration eh?
Next time a throttle sticks just turn the key, if you can't reach the key slap it into neutral... it'll bounce off the limiter till you make it up to the key.
Had the throttle stick in my 32V SEL doing about 90, floored it, ran up to 115-ish, let off the throttle but the car didn't..:-P you alwyas freak out for a Moment, but it pays to have played this pathway out in one's mind a few times prior to it happening.
Reached up, turned off the key, popped into neutral, key back to P2 so I could steer and off to the shoulder we went.
Glad you made it out OK, I have no doubts you'll re-coupe (!) a decent chunk of your asking price once you are done parting her out and the few hundred you should get for scrap. If she has cats those are worth a hundred or two a piece @ least.
